Serengeti Under Canvas offers truly unique and special wildlife experience. Luxurious camps provide you will all the comforts of western lifestyle with the simple beauty and romance of wild Africa within the Serengeti National Park. Be a part of the annual movement of wildebeest, zebra and Thompson’s gazelle as they migrate across the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem in one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world.
Intimate and exclusive, the spacious mobile safari tent camps of Serengeti Under Canvas allow you the experience of a lifetime: to be a part of the annual Great Migration. This as close to this natural phenomenon as one can get and is a truly remarkable experience. Double beds, en suite bathrooms, separate w.c.’s, Indian rugs, crisp lines, sparkling crystal, polished brass and an al fresco bucket shower make for a luxuriously comfortable stay under the African skies.
Serengeti Under Canvas consists of two camps with eight tents each. Located within private campsites, your experience is almost entirely in the wild and under the African skies. The Serengeti Under Canvas camps are meticulously planned around the movements of the annual Great Migration, Serengeti, giving you the optimum opportunity to witness it firsthand, feeling the pulse of their thundering hooves.
The Serengeti’s rich plains and diverse wildlife is best seen on an early morning and late afternoon / evening game drive. Open 4x4 safari vehicles, accompanied by a passionately knowledgeable guide ensure a truly remarkable game viewing experience as you explore the endless plains of this incredible game reserve. Game drives are offered twice daily, but one long outing can be arranged complete with a delicious packed picnic lunch spread.
See the Serengeti from the air with a truly extraordinary ballooning safari. This incredible experience is dependent on whether the locations of the camps are currently positioned within reach of the launch site and are charged at an additional cost.

“Hearing the hippos, lions and monkeys in the back as you are lying in your bed is an unforgettable experience. The luxury and comfort of these lodges are incredible, and, of course, the great and friendly staff!”
An outdoor shower before going on a trip is the best, along with the animals you witness close to your tent. We’re sitting here in Belgium (it’s raining again), thinking about how great it was almost one year ago on our honeymoon! Big thank yous for this amazing journey!
